Golden Light is just one of those images I find myself coming back to look at again and again just to try and find the image that is there.

Until now I really haven't been happy with the set up of the image or that I got the feeling right from that morning.


I've been trying more and more to focus on getting a feeling across with an image rather than just simply reproducing what I saw there or what the camera saw. I captured the image at New Zealand's Lake Alexandrina which is probably one of the most photographable (is that a word?) area's, it's certainly easy to understand why.

I love the sky and the start of the sunrise there just breaking over the hills. I specifically wanted to silhouette the tree’s and the land and allow the sky and the water to provide the interest for the image.
